Will the Quest 3 Go on Sale Anytime Soon?

The Quest 3 is a new VR headset that was released on October 10, 2023. Since it’s only been a few months since its release, there won’t be any discounts soon. However, there might be “get free games along with your purchase” types of deals during Christmas, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Will the Christmas deal be better than this? There’s a chance they might offer free Quest Store credits for the Christmas promotion like they did with the Quest 2. However, nothing has been announced, so I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

The Quest 2 Will Probably Go on Sale Though

The Quest 2 is a good budget option compared to the Quest 3. It’s like getting an iPhone 10/11 instead of the newest iPhone 15 – both are still great.

Since the Quest 2 has been out for much longer, I expect there’ll be a discount during Black Friday.

How big of a discount? Probably something similar to last year: $50 off, so the 128 GB version will cost $249. They might also offer free games on top of this deal to spice things up.

Overall, if you can afford it, I’d still go with the Quest 3, because it’s worth the price difference. The lenses and optics are that much better. If you can’t afford it, the Quest 2 is still a great headset and you won’t be disappointed by it.
