MyDearest Inc. Secures 1.16 Billion Yen in Series C Funding
In a significant stride towards global market competitiveness and expansion of its publishing business, MyDearest Inc., a leading developer of original IP VR games, has announced a successful Series C funding round of approximately 1.16 billion yen (~7.71 million USD).
With this latest financial injection, the total raised by the company now stands at around 2.5 billion yen (~16.6 million USD). The funding round was led by SBI Investment Co., Ltd., with contributions from DG Daiwa Ventures, NetEase Games, Wing Capital Partners, OLM Ventures, Samurai Incubate, Dentsu Group, and Mitsubishi UFJ Capital.
MyDearest Inc. is renowned for its mission to deliver life-changing narrative experiences through its original IP VR games. The company’s portfolio includes acclaimed titles such as “Tokyo Chronos,” “ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos,” and “DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate,” which have not only topped the Quest Store user ratings but have also won numerous game awards internationally.
Looking ahead, the “DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate -Definitive Edition” is set to release on the Nintendo Switch™ on the 22nd of this month, and the company is actively developing “Brazen Blaze,” a VR exclusive 3v3 combat action game, slated for a beta test in February next year after a successful closed alpha test last month.
Kento Kishigama, CEO of MyDearest stated “multiplayer games are currently extremely popular in the VR game field, especially among teens in North America. The same trend has not arrived in Japan yet.”

To support its growth, MyDearest is also expanding its team and will host a Creator’s Talk event on November 9th, where creators will discuss the nuances of VR game production. This event will be broadcasted live on YouTube, providing insights into the differences between VR, console, and smartphone game development, as well as the company’s publishing business goals.
